I'm not a native English speaker, therefore I'm here and therefore I ask. My question refers to the word "silly", which is of course an adjective but, considering the ending "-ly" - can it be given as an adverb? eg. when we want to express that sth is done in a silly way, like in the sentence: "He laughed silly"? Is this correct, or is it better to say: " He laughed like silly"? And finally, as regards the following expression, "It is silly of me to ask the obvious questions", does word "silly" stand here for an adverb or adjective?
